Estella to Sansol
This was our longest day so far. It was a seven hour walk to Sansol under often sunny skies. The day started with some refreshment when we stopped by the Fuente del Vino for red wine complements of Bodegas Irache. We then had a nice walk through a wooded area followed by a hill climb to Villamayor de Monjardin where the view over the wine country was nice. The trail continued in rolling countryside to Los Arcos where we stopped for lunch in a nice plaza. Our walking day ended in Sansol where we are staying in Casa Rural El Olivo (olive tree). The Casa Rurals are B&Bs. In the evening we visited a local grocery store and bought some local cider to go with dinner.
